Glorious Uncertainties Of A Start Up (Middle Game)

My worst fears as the technical leader of my team came true as I found some of the best guys leave us within a short span of a few months. Soon the team size was reduced to half and we had to start repair and rebuilding excercises. With not much clarity as to where the company was heading it was a difficult challenge to keep the team motivated enough. Productivity was affected and morale was at rock bottom. Only a optimistic few stayed back to fight the current crisis in the team. But things were rapidly deteriorating.

Just when everyone was loosing hope came the announcement that the company had signed a deal with a leading mobile service provider. We were not aware how good this deal was, but still a deal is a deal and we were happy that the company had struck its first deal. Suddenly the mood changed in the team. The dull and long faces were replaced with sparkling eyes as the realization dawned that there was still hope left. Things haven’t changed completely but certainly a slight improvement from what it was. With a few more deals in the pipeline we are hoping that the companies finances will improve.
Will there be a turn around? The roller coaster ride continues!
