Glorious Uncertainties Of A Startup (Opening Moves)

I started my career in a startup and ever since I have been moving from one startup to another.

One of the main advantages of working in a startup is the exposure and the steep learning curve that you can boast about. But along with this, one has to learn to live with the glorious uncertainties that form a part of any startup. One of the recent happenings in the company is proof to this. Just when everyone was feeling that things were going great in the company came the hike (or the lack of it) announcement. The poor hike has affected the morale of the whole technical team. Suddenly there is talk for mass resignations.

Being one of the people who helped build and train this team it was painful. I fear that soon I might have to witness the collapse of a team that took years of hard work to build train and retain. All the hard work might just go down the drain. Only time will tell.
